On Thursday, about 15 artists headed north to the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, just west of Brigham City, Utah. It was a crisp Spring day and the marshland still wore the faded grays and browns of winter.
The visual displays in the visitor's center were extensive. I had no idea that this building housed such a well-thought and beautiful exhibit (complete with bird calls, feathers, footprints and habitat)! I must bring my grandchildren up to see it.
I painted along side of Jim Baluff and Tom Howard (remarkable painters).
